Through the designs of Patrick Ahearn’s firm we created a new dock, boathouse, guest house and new foundation for the restored main house. The landscape was as much a player as the construction in this waterfront Chilmark build. One imperative goal for our client was being able to drive a car right up into the garage, which with the existing grade of the hill on the property, was impossible. With Landscape Architect Rick Lamb’s plans we managed to change the grade of the front slope using circular concrete retaining walls. These walls of were finished with native field stone to integrate with the exterior swimming pool and stone waterfall.
“As always, your persistence
to get it right overcame all difficulties that came up. Job well done, thank
you, again.“
