Views, views, views; that was the keyword for an Aquinnah build designed by Hutker Architects. This 3,000 square foot second home’s frame was constructed entirely of steel, and filled with windows, so many in fact that it violated a code dictating that 50% of the structure’s south face be walled. This was accomplished by installing motors in the roof system to control slotted exterior shutters. These cedar shutters move according to sun position, comply with the unique restriction, and still allow for spectacular views. Landscape architect Kris Horiuchi rooted the ultra-modern house to the property with elaborate stonework that we carried into the building of the pool and guest house.
“Bob, we love it, thank you so much for going the extra mile for us.”
